All of our students participate in the KiwiSport programme once a week. Ange Black our KiwiSport co-ordinator provides a range of athletic and sporting experiences for our children. Our students have gained experience particpating in golf, cricket, cross country training, athletics events, basketball and tennis to name a few. Ange offers a high level of enthusiasm and expertise to encourage our students and often brings professional coaches and athletes as mentors. 

Beaconsfield, St Andrews, Timaru Christian, St Josephs Pleasant Point, Cannington and Barton Rural are all part of the Rural School’s Cluster. These schools get together for many things, as well as various sporting events.

Summer sport’s coaching includes: tennis, cricket, swimming, touch rugby, tee-ball etc. These are all played and coached regularly with teachers, parents or professional coaches.

Teachers and parents coach winter sports. The school has a number of netball and soccer teams which compete on Saturdays in local competitions.
